REGULATION 

OF THE “WOMEN IN NUCLEAR” TAJIKISTAN

UNDER THE NUCLEAR AND RADIATION SAFETY AGENCY  

OF THE NATIONAL ACADEMY OF SCIENCES OF TAJIKISTAN

         I. General

Women’s organization “Women in Nuclear” Tajikistan under the Nuclear and Radiation Safety Agency of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan (hereinafter referred to as “WiN Tajikistan”), which acting based on the Republic of Tajikistan legislation, and consisting of women-scientists (female employees) professionally working in science (in the particular nuclear industry) and culture with a strong position to life/ proactive attitude). The WiN Tajikistan contributes to encouraging and strengthening of the participation of its members in scientific, technical, cultural, and economic spheres.

The WiN Tajikistan is a voluntary, self-governing, non-profit, independent public organization aimed to protect the interests and worthy position of women in society, increase their role in scientific, socio-political, socio-economic and cultural life.

The WiN Tajikistan supports social justice, gender equality, cooperates with the management of the Agency and public organizations and raises business and public issues.

The WiN Tajikistan carrying out its activities following the principles of voluntariness, equality, self-governance and legitimacy. WiN Tajikistan is free to determine its internal structure, objectives, forms and principles of work.  

The Director of NRSA provides comprehensive support to pursue any activities in accordance with the objectives.

II. Objectives:

- building a supportive environment to encourage women-scientist participate in science, culture and social activities as well;  

- promote and ensure women’s authority in society;

- achieve gender balance for women professionally working in science.

III. Goals:

- promote women’s engagement in science, culture and social activities;

- carrying out cooperation with the cultural and scientific institution and community organization;

- promote women’s interests in отстаивание интересов женщин;

- organize and conduct cultural events;

 - to provide a forum in which women in science, technology, culture, and other related professions can cooperate, exchange information, and promote career interests among women and young people.

IV. Activities:

-  organization and participation in scientific-educational, scientific-practical events;

- identify particular directions and methods of works;  

-  cooperation with the cultural and scientific institution and community organization;

-  making recommendations and proposals for comprehensive enhance of WiN Tajikistan functioning;  

- carrying out any other activities that fulfill WiN objectives and goals;

- holding the cultural events.

V.  Rights

 Members of WiN are entitled to:

- discuss, criticize, make proposals, and pursue the personal position at the meetings;

- receive necessary insights, available at WiN Tajikistan;   

- participate in intended events and meetings organized by WiN Tajikistan.

VI. Responsibility

Members of WiN Tajikistan are obliged to:

- actively participate in the implementation of WiN Tajikistan goals and objectives;

- implement the decisions taken at its meetings, strengthen the authority of the WiN, and promote its influence among the women's community;

- comply with the requirements of the WiN Tajikistan Regulations.

VII. Structure, Membership

All interested female employees professionally working in various research institutions under the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan and other organizations or institutions in the Republic of Tajikistan could become a member of WiN on a voluntary basis.

        WiN Tajikistan Chairman and Deputy elected annually on a rotational basis by voting of the Board members.

        WiN Tajikistan Chairman and Deputy:

      - arrange all activities;

       - represent interests of WiN Tajikistan in the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan and other public institutions.   

VII. Activities

1. Chairman carries out the coordination of WiN Tajikistan tasks and activities.
2. Meetings and events of WiN Tajikistan are held at least once a month. The work plan is prepared annually, no later than January 15. The Meeting needs the attendance of more than 2/3 of WiN members to be held. More than 2/3 of its members of those in attendance approve the decisions and proceedings. 
3. The meeting is the primary form of work.
4. Decisions taken at the Meeting have only a recommendatory character.
5. Recording documents:

- WiN Tajikistan work plan;

            - Protocol;

            - list of participants;

            - report on accomplished work.

The material and technical assistance of WiN Tajikistan is entrusted to the Nuclear and Radiation Safety Agency.
