The national army is one of the main pillars of any independent state. Throughout human history, the role of the national army has been crucial not only in protecting state borders but also in maintaining internal peace and stability. For the Tajik nation, the national army is not only a means of safeguarding national independence but also a symbol of bravery, patriotism, and loyalty to the homeland.
The Founder of National Peace and Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, in his speeches in order to further improve the study of natural, exact and mathematical sciences during his Address to the Majlisi Oli of the country on December 26, 2019, declared the years 2020-2040 as “Twenty Years of Study and Development of Natural, Exact and Mathematical Sciences in the Field of Science and Education”.
On February 6, 2025, the State Institution "Republican Scientific Center for Cancer Research" of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan held a ceremony to sign an agreement on cooperation in the field of diagnosis and treatment of cancer diseases between the Agency for Chemical, Biological, Radiation and Nuclear Safety of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan and the State Institution "Republican Scientific Center for Cancer Research".
On March 3, 2021, the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, participated in the first meeting of the High-Level Panel on Water and Climate Issues, which was held via video conference, and spoke on water and climate issues.
In Tajikistan, glaciers are found in high mountain areas, where the air temperature is constantly below 0°. This is due to the fact that 93% of the territory of Tajikistan is occupied by mountains, and almost 50% of them are over 3000 meters high. The mountains of Tajikistan are one of the largest centers of permanent ice. The main centers of ice in Tajikistan are the Pamir, Hisor-Olai, Turkestan and Zarafshan mountain ranges.
