Consideration of the state of radiation and radiological safety of historical and tourist sites at the next seminar
Yesterday, at the Educational and Training Center of the Agency for CBRN Safety and Security of the Tajikistan National Academy of Sciences (NAST) a scientific and practical seminar on the topic “Radiation and radiological safety of historical and tourist sites” was held.
The seminar, which was attended by scientists from the Agency for CBRN Safety and Security at NAST and the laboratory for processing mineral raw materials of the V.I. Nikitin Institute of Chemistry of the NAST, was held under the leadership of NAST academician, Prof. Ulmas Mirsaidov. At the mentioned event was discussed and considered the situation with radiation safety of historical and tourist sites, including Beshai Palangon, Takhti Sangin, Haftkul and other historical and tourist sites of the republic.
Then, during the seminar, Khamidov Farkhod, head of the department of scientific research, study, education and technical support of the Agency, Kurbonov Amirsho, director of the Agency's branch in the Khatlon region, and Murodov Shokhin, senior researcher at the Agency for CBRN Safety and Security at NAST, addressed the audience on the results of the expeditions and the current state of the radiation situation in the aforementioned places and their environs.
In continuation of the seminar, Taghoev Murodbek, a leading researcher of the V.I. Nikitin Institute of Chemistry of the NAST, gave a detailed report on the topic "Processing of minerals and industrial wastes to obtain valuable products such as coagulants and porcelain materials from local raw materials."
At the end, a question and answer session took place and participants received answers to their questions.
