Strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation with the State Corporation Rosatom
Consideration of issues of ensuring chemical, biological and radiation safety, protection of the population and rehabilitation works at uranium waste sites were among the topics that were in the focus of the meeting of the leadership of the Tajikistan National Academy of Sciences (TNAS) with the Deputy Director General of the Russian State Corporation Rosatom. During the meeting with the participation of Kobiljon Khushvakhtzoda, President of TNAS, Ilhom Mirsaidzoda, Director of the Agency for CBRN Safety and Security and other representatives from both sides, which took place on May 3 of this year, satisfaction was expressed on bilateral cooperation and the conclusion of agreements in a qualitatively new system.
It was noted that the contribution of the Russian State Corporation Rosatom to ensuring radiation safety is significant. It should be noted that in 2023, with the assistance of the State Corporation Rosatom, rehabilitation works were carried out in the Istiklol and Taboshar districts of the Sughd region.
It was emphasized that between scientific institutions of the two countries mutually beneficial cooperation is being carried out.
