Workshop on the Formation and Development of a Radiation Safety System in Tajikistan
On December 18 of this year, a workshop titled "Formation and Development of a Radiation Safety System in Tajikistan" was held at the Regional Centre for CBRN Safety, Security, and Safeguards of the CBRN Safety and Security Agency of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan.
The workshop was led by Academician NAST, Prof. Ulmas Mirsaidov. It was attended by postgraduate students, researchers, and young scientists from the CBRN Safety and Security Agency NAST, as well as staff from the Laboratory of Mineral Processing at the Institute of Chemistry named after V.I. Nikitin of the NAST.
Prof. Ulmas Mirsaidov opened the event with a speech on the "Formation and Development of a Radiation Safety System in Tajikistan." He discussed the use of modern equipment, the assessment of radiation situations, and the scientific justification of these processes.
Following his remarks, several postgraduate students from the CBRN Safety and Security Agency NAST and the Institute of Chemistry presented the results of their scientific research works.
Recognizing the ongoing advancements in science and technology, Prof. Ulmas Mirsaidov encouraged participants, particularly young scientists, to draw upon the experiences of the Agency's researchers for their future studies and research in this field.
At the conclusion of the workshop, a discussion was held on the topics covered, during which participants received clear answers to their questions.
