The approval of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, esteemed Emomali Rahmon, dated December 30, 2023, No. 668 on declaring 2024 the “Year of Legal Education” is very appropriate and serves as a compass for the comprehensive development of our independent country. As the head of state noted in the Address to the Majlisi Oli “On the main directions of the countrys domestic and foreign policy” dated December 28, 2023: “In the process of building a progressive and fair society, the issue of formation of legal enlightening of citizens plays a key role.”

This year, when the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan is celebrated, it is necessary to recall of the role of this supreme legal document in ensuring peace and stability, restoring the constitutional order and the influence of the state in the international arena. Indeed, this supreme document and passport of the nation during its action was able to direct society in a peaceful streem and ensure equality in the country. In this context, favorable conditions have been created for the development of the economic, social, cultural and spiritual spheres. Therefore, in order to protect this legal document and for improvement of the legal education of the population, one of the main conditions is to regularly conduct explanatory work among the population so that citizens take seriously the essence and role of this supreme legal document, namely the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan, in society.

As the Leader of the Nation, respected Emomali Rahmon, has repeatedly stated during the development of the draft of Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan, human rights should become one of the most important parts of our new Constitution. The head of state emphasized that human rights are an important issue and "they are now in the center of attention of the entire world, especially in the formation of civilized and developed countries."

The Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan also perpetuates other universal values, including political pluralism. In his speech at the 16th Session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Head of State Emomali Rahmon emphasized an important point on this issue: "Political diversity is one of our values." Therefore, the more deeply we study the provisions of the Constitution in the direction of forming legal enlightment, the more important its meaning and content will be for our daily activities.

It is worth to be noted that the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan, in its legal content, including the solution of various issues of state structure, the rights and interests of each person in society, is considered as one of the most advanced examples of the highest legal documents in the world. In this regard, every honest citizen of the nation must improve the level of his legal enlightment and contribute to the implementation of this initiative and the development of the country.
