Training course on "Operator Training in Mobile Detection System in Tajikistan."

From February 6 to 10, 2017, the Nuclear and Radiation Safety Agency Regional Training Center of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan held a training course regarding "Training Operators under the Mobile Detection System Program in Tajikistan".

The training course arranged for Customs Service employees under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Border Troops of the State Committee on National Security and was devoted to the use of Mobile Detection Equipment, as well as hand-held auxiliary devices to detect the illegal movement of radioactive and nuclear materials at the border and inside the country. Local instructors - employees of the Nuclear and Radiation Safety Agency of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan conducted theoretical and practical training for employees of customs and border services with a purpose of increasing awareness for Mobile detection tools users.

Present training course was conducted within the framework of the National Action Plan of the Republic of Tajikistan for the implementation of resolution 1540 of the United Nations Security Council, approved by a decree of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan on February 9, 2017.
