On January 4, 2021, a monthly meeting has been held at the Nuclear and Radiation Safety Agency of the National Academy of Science of Tajikistan to discuss current issues and plans for the upcoming year. The Director thanked the staff of NRSA NAST for successfully achieved results in the accomplishment of the goals and objectives in 2020.

During the meeting, the following issues were discussed:

- establishment of the Working Group for the development of regulatory documents regarding the activities of CBRN laboratory;

- development and acceptance of CBRN section Statute;

- procurement of necessary equipment for laboratory;

- preparation of cost estimates for office supplies of NRSA Branch office in Sogd region;

- procurement of new equipment to Patient and public exposure control service section;

- recruitment of new staff members (biologists) to CBRN section;

- compliance with the working schedule;

- participation in weekly football games to maintain a healthy lifestyle of NRSA employees;

- engagement of international donors for the implementation of national projects;

- conduct a series of training courses and seminars in the field of nuclear and radiation safety for employees working with the source of ionizing radiation;

The Director of NRSA NAST – Ilhom Mirsaidzoda noted crucial priorities to 2021:

- The completion of construction works and commissioning of CBRN laboratory to 30^th anniversary of the Republic of Tajikistan;

- The completion of construction works of NRSA branch office in Sogd region;

- The implementation of intended goals and tasks within the framework of international projects.

The Director of NRSA NAST – Ilhom Mirsaidzoda expressed sincere gratitude for the joint efforts and professional approach of staff, and sincerely hopes for further beneficial cooperation aimed at attaining considerable results and sustainable development.
