A regular training workshop for x-ray-physicians and radiologists working at Isfara city and Kanibadam region hospitals has been organized at the Central Hospital of Isfara city from 29 to 30 September, 2021. The training workshop was opened with an introductory speech by the director of the Branch of the Nuclear and Radiation Safety Agency of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan (Branch of the NRSA NAST) Nazarov Kh.M. and he presented a brief overview of the radiation safety situation in the Sughd region.

During the training workshop the participants asked questions about the requirements of regulatory documents for the design and operation of X-ray rooms, ensuring the radiation safety of personnel, patients and the public and presenters responded comprehensive answers.

At the end of the training workshop, a radiologist of Isfara city Yakubov Saidullo, responsible person for radiation safety of the State Institution “Primary Health Care”, noted that the initiative conducting training workshops on radiation safety makes a great contribution for increasing the knowledge level of the personnel of medical institutions - radiologists.

Currently, according to the work plan of the Branch NRSA NAST, the next training workshop is planned to be held in December this year in the Istaravshan region - with the participation of specialists from the radiology departments of Istaravshan, Devashtich, Shahristan, Zafarabad, Spitamen and Jabbor-Rasulov regions.
