Performance verification of the RPM at the “Fotehobod” checkpoint in Mastchoh District
On December 5, 2021, the experts of the National Nuclear Security Administration of the US Department of Energy (DOE/NNSA) and the Nuclear Smuggling Detection and Deterrence (NSDD), employees of the Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Safety & Security Agency (CBRN SSA), representatives of the Customs Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan visited “Fotehobod” checkpoint in Mastchoch district.
During the visit the purpose was to verify the correct functioning of installed radiation portal monitors (RPM), the proper connection to the Centralized Alarm Warning System (CAS) and the utilization of hand-held devices for a secondary inspection during the detection of nuclear and radioactive materials.
The experts of the National Nuclear Security Administration of the US Department of Energy (DOE/NNSA) conducted an unscheduled inspection of all installed equipment and software updates at centralized alarm warning system (CAS).
