On August 24-26, 2022 III International Scientific and Practical Conference “The Role of Women-Scientists in Science, Innovation and Technology Development”, has been held in Gulistan city (Sughd region, Tajikistan) which was attended by more than 100 participants.

Conference organizers:

 - Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Safety and Security Agency of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan;

-  National Chapter WiN Tajikistan under the CBRN Safety and Security Agency;

 - International Scientific and Technical Center (ISTC).

Reports were made by women scientists, professors, graduate students, undergraduates, PhD students who represented various universities, institutes and government institutions of the Republic of Tajikistan, including representatives of research institutes of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, National Center for Food Safety Diagnostics, Institute of Biosafety and Biotechnology of the Tajik Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Russian-Tajik (Slavonic) University, Branch of Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov in Dushanbe, Tajik State Medical University, Institute of Economics and Demography of the National Academy of Science, State Institution of Republican Oncological Research Center of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Tajikistan, Khujand State University, Institute of Philosophy, Political Science and Law named after A. Bahoviddinova and others.

The conference was also attended by scientists from such international organizations as: IAEA, Middlebury Institute for International Studies, California, USA; Win Global; WiN Russia; WiN Kazakhstan; WiN Kyrgyzstan; WiN Uzbekistan; Scientific Institute “All-Russian Research Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants”, Moscow, Russian Federation; Center for the Development of Professional Qualifications of Medical Workers of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan; Department of Radiation and Nuclear Safety of State Committee for Industrial Safety of the Republic of Uzbekistan; Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Moscow State University M.V. Lomonosov; Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad, Pakistan; US Department of Energy, etc.

The work of the conference was held in four sessions:

1. Issues of nuclear, radiological and biological safety, IAEA safeguards and the role of women in science;

2. Natural sciences and ecology;

3. Actual issues of linguistics, pedagogy and law;

4. Medicine.   

  By the beginning of the conference, a collection of conference materials was published, in which more than 65 author's works are presented.

RESOLUTION

based on results of reports discussions during the work of III International Scientific and Practical Conference "The Role of Women-Scientists in Science, Innovation and Technology Development" (August 24-26, 2022, Gulistan, Republic of Tajikistan) the following conclusions and recommendations were adopted:

1. The conference is an international platform that brings together women scientists from various fields of science, contributing to the strengthening of ties between research institutes of different countries, to exchange of experience in the field of nuclear security and radiation safety, biosafety, chemistry, biology, medicine, physics, geology, ecology, law, and etc.
2. Considering the wide range of scientific areas of the conference, the conference participants considered it useful and fruitful to exchange experience not only in research work, but also in innovative achievements.
3. The increasing role of women scientists not only in science but also in society, politics, culture and social sphere, has been noted. Cooperation and exchange of experience are becoming the most important factor for the active participation of women in science, public affairs, as well as strengthening their authority in the scientific community.
4. It has been recommended the closer interaction of research institutes with universities to involve girls in research activities in the field of fundamental and applied sciences, popularization of professions in the field of nuclear security and radiation safety, biosafety, biology, chemistry, physics, geology, and medicine.
5. Providing comprehensive support to young women-scientists, graduate students, and PhD students. Facilitate the exchange of knowledge, information and best practices of successful experiences of women in career achievements (experience of WiN Global members).
6. To continue the implementation and improvement of approaches aimed the continuity of professional knowledge and skills from the older generation of specialists to younger generation.
7. The conference participants recognized the work of III International Scientific and Practical Conference "The Role of Women-Scientists in Science, Innovation and Technology Development" as successful.
8. It was decided to publish the adopted resolution of scientific and practical conference on the website.
