On September 27, 2022, on the sidelines of 66^th session of the IAEA General Conference, a meeting was held between Ilhom Mirsaidzoda - Director and Farhod Khamidov - Head of Licensing, Inspection and Response to CBRN Emergency Department of CBRN Safety and Security Agency of NAST with head and staff of the IAEA Safeguards Department. 

The issues of inspections of organizations that use nuclear materials in their activities by inspectors of CBRN Safety and Security Agency of NAST and reports submission by the Republic of Tajikistan within the framework of obligations under the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) and the Additional Protocol ratified by the Republic of Tajikistan were discussed.

The issues of timely submission of electronic reports to the State Declaration Portal  were also discussed. Providing reports has become much easier and faster with the launch of abovementioned portal.

The need for conducting of regional training courses and meetings was emphasized, and special attention was paid to the issues of staff training.  

Special role of INSEP program of US Department of Energy in training of inspectors of CBRN Safety and Security Agency of NAST was emphasized and special gratitude was expressed to the above-mentioned program. In addition, IAEA inspectors were invited to the courses that CBRN Safety and Security Agency of NAST will conduct in the future jointly with INSEP program of US Department of Energy.
