On January 9, 2023 at the dissertation council 6D.KOA-041 of the Tajik Technical University named after academician M. Osimi our colleague Muminov Safarali Valievich successfully defended his scientific research dissertation on the topic "State of radiation safety and radon monitoring of the territory of Tajikistan" on the speciality 03.02.08 - Ecology (technical sciences).

It should be noted that the thesis of S.V. Muminov. is considered a very important topic in the direction of studying the distribution of anthropogenic isotope cesium-137 in some regions of the country, studying the total specific activity of alpha and beta particles of drinking water of cities and districts of Khatlon region, estimation of radon concentration in residential premises, pre-school institutions and schools of the territory of Dushanbe city and Khatlon region, radioecological monitoring of Kamarob gorge of Rasht district, Almasy gorge of Gissar city, Sari Khosorsky area of Baljuvan district, Kanasky area of Vahdat city and Iskandarkul area of Zerafshan valley and assessment of radiation state of territories around uranium tailing dumps in the northern part of Tajikistan.

It is also noted that the scientific supervisor of this thesis is Ilhom Mirsaidzoda, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor, Director of the Agency for Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Safety and Security of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan. The main objective of the study is to assess the state of radiation safety and radon monitoring of the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Official opponents are well-known scientists of our country, such as Abdullaev Sabur Fuzaylovich - Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Laboratory "Physics of the Atmosphere" of the Physical-Technical Institute named after S. Umarov of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan and Rozikov Zafar Abdukahorovich - Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor of the Department of "Ecology" of the Mining and Metallurgical Institute of Tajikistan. At the same time, it should be underlined that at the DC meeting the DC members paid special attention to the scientific work of S.V. Muminov and also gave high marks. According to their conclusion and final decision, the thesis work of Muminov Safarali Valievich is considered to be a finished and specialised topic, at the same time Muminov Safarali Valievich deserves the scientific title of Candidate of Technical Sciences.
