On March 6, 2023, at the Regional Training Center of CBRN Safety and Security Agency of National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan, as part of the activities of WiN Tajikistan to strengthen national identity and create favorable conditions for the active participation of women and young girls in cultural and public life, the “National Dishes” competition was held, dedicated to the national holiday Mother's Day.
The competition was held among master's students of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan under the leadership of Mamadyusufova Menu - Ph.D., Head of the Department of Master's, Postgraduate and Doctoral Studies of National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists of NAST. The competition consisted of preparing a national dish and its presentation.
The competition was held in a warm, friendly atmosphere. The competition participants prepared various national dishes, shot original videos of the cooking process, and one of the teams performed national dances from various regions of the republic.
In addition to the competition, WiN Tajikistan members - Muminova Mehrangez and Bokieva Shoira conducted a master class on preparing the national dish “oshi-tuppa”. They shared their experience and secrets in preparing of this dish.
