Participation of the Youth Association "Atom" representatives in the Republican Scientific and Practical Conference entitled “Tajikistan – the driving force for glacier conservation in the world”
As previously informed, on March 14, 2024 in the conference hall of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan on the initiative of the association " Glacier Research by Women " of the Center for Glacier Research of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan and in cooperation with the Youth Association "Atom" of the Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Safety and Security Agency of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan held the Republican Scientific and Practical Conference entitled “Tajikistan – the driving force for glacier conservation in the world”.
This event was held with the participation of schoolchildren from secondary schools of Dushanbe, the speakers told about global initiatives of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Honorable Emomali Rahmon on water and climate issues, security and environmental protection.
Safarali Muminov - representative of the Youth Association "Atom" of the Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Safety and Security Agency of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan made a presentation on "Methods of forecasting the melting of glaciers using nuclear technologies" and spoke about the importance of studying radiation in human life, as well as gave detailed and interesting information on assessing the impact of radiation on drinking water, the source of which are glaciers.
It should be reminded that the Youth Association "Atom" recently announced a drawing contest with a video of the author entitled "Join Us in Ensuring the Safety of the Environment and the Public". Due to numerous requests, the date of the contest was extended.
