Identification of Dual-Use Materials, Control and Export of the CBRN Materials Department

The activities of this department encompass the control and management of chemical substances, dual-use materials, and other toxic hazardous substances that may be used for illegal purposes, including the production of weapons of mass destruction. Combating and preventing the illegal export of such materials is one of the laboratory's primary tasks.

The department conducts identification and monitoring of hazardous materials through comprehensive chemical analysis using High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). These methods enable precise determination of the composition and concentration of various substances. Performing chemical analyses using HPLC is an effective diagnostic technique and aids in preventing and detecting the introduction of controlled substances.
