The PhD program in this field is aimed at scientific research of physicochemical processes, technologies for the production of inorganic materials, and processing of raw materials, including issues related to the treatment of radioactive and industrial waste. The program is designed for the development of new materials, improvement of industrial technologies, and their application in various fields, including energy, environment, and radiation safety.

Admission requirements:

  • Master’s degree in chemistry, physics, materials technology, or related fields.

  • Submission of a scientific research work and passing an entrance exam.

  • Good knowledge of foreign languages (Russian and English).

Main research areas:

  • Technology of processing local raw materials for inorganic materials production.

  • Study of physicochemical properties of materials.

  • Management of radioactive waste and ensuring radiation safety.


2. Master’s Degree in Specialty 1M-33.01.03 – Radioecology

  • Study mode: Full-time

  • Duration: 2 years

Description: The master's program in radioecology (1M-33.01.03) focuses on studying the effects of radiation on the environment, monitoring radionuclides in biological environments, managing radioactive waste, and ensuring radiation safety.

Admission requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, physics, or ecology.

  • Passing entrance exams and an interview.

Program content:

  • Courses on fundamentals of radiation safety, Tajikistan’s legislation on radiation safety, dosimetry, radiation effects on the human body, and response to radiation emergencies.

  • Practical lessons in the laboratories of the Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Security Agency, including work with radiation monitors and radioactive material detection systems.

  • Scientific and technical internships at the laboratories of the CBRN Security Agency of the Tajik Academy of Sciences and other relevant institutions.
